Focussed on digital game based solutions to human problems. Especially interested in learning games that create value for large groups of people in need. Be it Intellectual, Emotional or Physical this new iteration of the Oosphere is emerging finally. This helps me keep track of and share what I've found in my polymath perambulations.

siRNA is a Game!
siRNA is a technology for delivering payloads to the DNA of a cell. The Tobacco Mosaic Virus is stripped inside and loaded with a goodie that does the work with little or no side effects.
Using this technology a single researcher can make a candidate drug in a few weeks.
This is becoming an entirely new disease treatment model.
siRNA could be developed within a Game Based Learning Environment!
Or if you prefer, Game Based Research!

Does Web 2.0 increase our 'Collective Intelligence?'
Not sure if this is an ad for Meetup, but it's point does seem to speak to my main ideas re Digital Game Based Learning. The thing that is needed is assessment. How do we know what we are doing is increasing intelligence? Or not?
So, a measurement that conveys a unit increase in 'intelligence' per unit measure of time for ANY given activity can perhaps be the new holy grail for everything we do. Here is a fabulous way of defining values for the evolution of humanity.
Read that last paragraph again. And again.

Mobile DGBL Gaming/Advertising
This here gives a glimpse into the desires of mobile users. The question is: How can mobile users engage their inquisitive minds with learning games whose content may include commercial content and really dig it? The next question is: What advertisers want their customers to learn?

Vernor Vinge on the Singularity
One significant point I disagree with strongly is the statement that most development of humans has already been achieved. I believe that DGBL will take our present cognitive capacities to levels that cannot be predicted now. Many 10s or even 100s of times our present capacities. And the amplification of presently unknown or measured capacities.
